After 9 days of travel, we needed a break. Today was it. We bought a few essentials from the co-op, supermarket and local bottle store before setting off to the local market. The market was tiny by our standards, but there were some interesting goodies for sale. The pancakes were perfect, thin and just with just enough cinnamon sugar. We also bought very reasonably-priced fig preserve and “korrelkonfyt” (Eng: “whole preserved grape jam”). Only people who ever tasted this will understand this decadent delicacy! On thick brown toast this is something no dietician will ever recommend, but who the hell wants to live forever?

After that we did some domestic chores – except when I took a few drone pics for Phillip (caravan park owner) and Magda who runs the takeaway, act as camp manager from time to time and is just this delightful soul always ready with advice. Awesome people!!! Some time was spent telling jokes. Unfortunately, they can’t be shared…
